There was a time I didn’t know if I was changing or losing myself.
Becoming was painted inside that uncertainty — the turquoise and the black pulling apart, like two selves caught mid-separation. It was only after the last brushstroke that I understood what was happening: I wasn’t losing myself. I was losing the old one.
What was forming underneath was someone new… new beliefs, a new mindset, a woman I hadn’t met yet but was already becoming.
This piece marks the moment I stopped resisting the change and let myself become.

“Becoming” is one of my favorite paintings.
Not because of how it looks, but because of what it reminds me of every day: “Change,” from where the growth begins.
